Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge takes place before Banjo-Tooie and after Banjo-Kazooie.
Klungo , unable to free Gruntilda from under her bolder prison, constructs a Mecha-Grunty. They kidnap Kazooie and Banjo races after her. Banjo gets her back , and Klungo gets his "Butt Kicked' by Banjo for the first time.
